PROJECT OVERVIEW

For a company of the calibre of Robinson Earthmoving & Heavy Haulage, the expectation is simple — everything needs to be built bigger, stronger, and better. This project was no exception.

This large-scale commercial shed was designed to support a high-performing operation, and our role was to ensure the finish reflected that same level of professionalism, durability, and presence.

Engaged to deliver the full exterior coating system, Coffs Coast Painting Co. approached the project with a focus on longevity, clean presentation, and bold visual impact — creating a facility that not only performs but makes a statement.

DESIGN & COLOUR STATEMENT

Strength Through Contrast

The design intent was to break up the scale of the structure while maintaining a strong industrial identity.

Crisp white cladding across the primary structure, delivering a clean and professional base
Deep charcoal/monument feature wall anchoring the building visually
Layered horizontal striping running across the elevation, introducing movement and reinforcing the building’s scale

This combination creates a bold yet refined finish — aligning perfectly with Robinson’s brand and operational presence.

PREPARATION & SYSTEM BUILD

Done Properly — From the Ground Up

This project involved working over a mix of raw and pre-coated Colorbond surfaces — meaning preparation was critical.

Key stages included:

Removal of failing or compromised coatings
Full wash-down and surface decontamination
Detailed preparation to ensure coating adhesion
Precise masking to achieve sharp, consistent lines across colour transitions

This level of preparation ensures the system doesn’t just look good on completion — it performs long-term under harsh conditions.

PREMIUM COATING SYSTEM

Dulux Weathershield — Built for Australian Conditions

To ensure long-term durability and performance, this project was completed using premium Dulux Weathershield coating systems, specifically designed for harsh Australian environments.

Exceptional resistance to UV exposure, fading, and chalking
Advanced protection against moisture, dirt pick-up, and weathering
Flexible coating system suited to expansion and contraction of metal substrates

All materials were supplied by Inspirations Paint Coffs Coast, ensuring product consistency, technical support, and confidence in long-term performance.

APPLICATION & FINISH

Consistency Across Scale

Application was carried out using professional spray systems to deliver a uniform, high-quality finish across all surfaces.

Scope included:

Full coating system to external cladding
Structural steel, posts, and awning areas finished in durable coatings
Soffits and roof undersides completed in crisp white for a clean, light-reflective finish

The scale of the project required careful coordination and sequencing to maintain efficiency while achieving a consistent result across all elevations.
